The Mac connectors shipped last week, and everything else in this update is about the same thing from a different angle: models that used to feel heavy now move, and the two slowest steps in getting a set out — generating drawings and assembling sheets — take less time than they did.</p></div>

Publishing and loading models works the same way it does on Windows, so a mixed studio can stop routing Mac users through a virtual machine or a spare workstation just to get their geometry into the model.</p></section>
<section class="u-section" aria-labelledby="large-models-render-on-the-gpu"><h2 id="large-models-render-on-the-gpu" class="u-h2">Large models render on the GPU<a class="u-anchor" href="#large-models-render-on-the-gpu" aria-hidden="true" tabindex="-1">#</a></h2><p>Rendering now uses the GPU. The practical effect is on the models that were worst affected before — big, heavy, multi-discipline federated models — which now stay responsive to pan, orbit and zoom instead of degrading as more gets loaded into them.</p></section>

<section class="u-section" aria-labelledby="drawings-stay-in-sync-with-the-model"><h2 id="drawings-stay-in-sync-with-the-model" class="u-h2">Drawings stay in sync with the model<a class="u-anchor" href="#drawings-stay-in-sync-with-the-model" aria-hidden="true" tabindex="-1">#</a></h2><p>Your drawings are live views of the 3D model rather than exports of it. Change the model and the drawings follow. That includes the things that usually get missed in a manual round-trip — change a material, for instance, and the hatch in the drawing updates to match, straight away.</p><p>The practical effect is that the drawing set stops being a separate deliverable you have to re-issue by hand every time the model moves.</p><figure class="u-figure"><video class="u-video" src="https://gingerbim.com/asset/product_updates/july-drawings.mp4" autoplay loop muted playsinline preload="metadata" aria-label="The 3D model beside its linked floor plan. <section class="u-section" aria-labelledby="canvas"><h2 id="canvas" class="u-h2">Canvas<a class="u-anchor" href="#canvas" aria-hidden="true" tabindex="-1">#</a></h2><p>Canvas is an infinite whiteboard for preparing drawing sets.
